To put it plainly, clothing is acknowledged as a means of expressing one’s identity and social standing. The magnitude of the fashion industry is further highlighted by estimates placing its value in the billions of dollars. Similarly, there has been an uptick in the number of people interested in the fashion metaverse. Some companies are generating millions from fashion NFTs and exclusively releasing collections in the metaverse. In 2023, these are the most prominent fashion houses that are actively engaging with the Metaverse.

Nike is another prominent fashion company with a foot in the metaverse door, having launched many blockchain and web3-based, online-only projects. Inaugurating Nikeland on Roblox marked the beginning of the company’s participation on the platform. The virtual office replicates the look and feel of the company’s physical headquarters.

With the help of a variety of new projects, this premium fashion house from Italy has reached new heights in the industry. The company’s initial NFT-related endeavor was motivated by the aesthetic of its Aria line of products. Recently, Gucci teamed up with gaming and metaverse platform Roblox to create a new area named Gucci Garden.

Who doesn’t know who Zara is? The phenomenon’s appeal has spread beyond the realm of the clothing industry and into the Metaverse at large. Back in 2018, Zara began dabbling with AR by developing an AR app and installing AR displays in 120 locations throughout the globe. This fashion powerhouse has just launched its newest collection in a simulated environment in collaboration with the design group Ader Error and the South Korean metaverse Zepeto, which boasts close to 300 million members.

Another well-known fashion house, Prada, has teamed up with Adidas Originals to release a limited edition NFT collection that was designed by people all around the globe. The “Adidas for Prada Re-Source” initiative solicited contributions from individuals with backgrounds in fields as diverse as fashion, design, and cryptocurrency to make unique NFT tiles. After the tiles had been minted, digital artist Zach Lieberman assembled them into a single NFT environment.

The fashion house shot to fame last year when, in honor of its founder’s bicentennial, it collaborated with the digital art collective Beeple to produce a smartphone game. Louis, the Game is the name of the app where players may learn more about the brand’s history.

Adidas’s release of its 30,000-piece NFT collection, made in conjunction with the Bored Ape Yacht Club, the authors of pixel vault’s PUNKS comics, and cryptocurrency investor Gmoney, attracted attention from across the world. The NFTs and any accompanying physical clothes are available for purchase.

Ralph Lauren

Launching the “Ralph Lauren Winter Escape” experience in the Roblox world was the fashion house’s first foray into the metaverse market. Many of the brand’s New Fall Things (NFTs) were on sale, including puffer coats, beanies with checks, and a line of ski apparel.
