Nick Donarski of ORE Systems Explains Gaming NFTs and More

Ore Systems

Gaming ecosystems have taken a new dimension. Web3 technologies have proven that it is possible to integrate systems that encourage people to participate. We caught wind of a new kind of NFT known as the gaming NFT.  So, we dived in on this one with Nick Donarski, who is the founder of ORE Systems.  Here is what he told us about gaming NFTs and more.

E-Crypto News:

What are the current trends in gaming and NFTs?

GamFi and similar NFT projects are gaining traction, in general, in a huge way.

The overall gaming space has always led the technology and media industries.

That trend will continue in the blockchain space. One of the biggest trends is NFT ownership.

Ownership is big in the decentralized gaming space. In most big-name games today, the player is just the equivalent of an ATM for the game industry.

With NFTs, the power is given back to the player and the player can determine if a game is worth their time and money.

They can directly vote for value in a game by supporting it and its ecosystem.

E-Crypto News:

Why are gaming communities enthralled with the emergence of NFTs?

Gaming communities see the value in what we know of as NFTs and crypto because it is natively already IN games.

World of Warcraft (WoW) gold was the very first unofficial cryptocurrency.

WoW gold had a real-world value even though it is a video game item.

It was bought and sold on a black market that supported it.

This was the first real fiat to digital currency.

Now we are replicating the same natural in-game items with the value of ownership.

The community has been calling for these types of options for years and now that it has come to fruition, there will only continue to be growth.

E-Crypto News:

How can gamers take advantage of this emergence?

Projects like the ORE System help gamers learn exactly how to leverage these new technologies while using the same behaviors they are used to.

By bridging the gap between the full breadth of gamers and how and what NFTs projects like this are will help gamers take advantage of these new technologies.

The further adoption and understanding of NFTs as utility-based items and more than just a picture, means that the future of games will likely bring more and more value to those using the NFTs as well.

E-Crypto News:

What are the various problems that are faced by gamers when it comes to NFTs?

The first and probably largest hurdle is understanding just what NFTs are. Most GameFi projects out there today only give you access to their project’s NFTs.

This again locks the items to a single project. Ownership and utility are limited and still go to prop up GameFi projects as large as the classic video game studios.

ORE System strives to be a white-collar technology for blue-collar people.

We want gamers to overcome the limitations of the commercialized gaming market and be able to actually own their game.

Cheating and obvious cybersecurity threats and risks are also at the forefront of the issues that face GameFi and NFT gaming.

Hacking, cheating, and cyber threats that target current video games and applications are also faced by blockchain gaming companies.

The integration and leverage of anti-cheat systems and partnerships with those that specialize in these technologies are what give ORE the ability to provide a safe and effective user experience.

E-Crypto News:

What role will gaming play in the emergence of the Metaverse?

The Metaverse will only increase the number of gamers and create more tech-savvy users.

The MetaVerse will usher in a more “personal” aspect of gaming with the digi persona.

Now, looking at “in-game” item purchases will extend to Nike shoes, UnderArmour T-Shirts, and Black Rifle Coffee items being added to these personas.

E-Crypto News:

Now that the Metaverse is here, how will NFTs and their usage evolve?

NFTs are likely going to become the de facto purchasing mechanism for virtual items.

Ownership will be defined as an item you can buy, sell, and trade freely between your in-game character and your friends.

The blockchain and NFTs bring this technology directly without having to redevelop those underlying functional systems. NFTs will become the way items of the future will be owned and transferred.

E-Crypto News:

Still, on the Metaverse, how will gamers adopt NFTs when it comes to the Metaverse?

Metaverse will allow gamers to create more of that individual feel in the virtual world.

This will naturally need to have marketplace functionality for those brands you would buy in the real world but now access in the virtual world.

The big brand names are not going to miss out on a revenue stream unless they are too big or blind to the changes coming.

E-Crypto News:

How is blockchain technology improving gaming experiences?

Blockchain itself is a very stable, global, and secure open technology that allows developers to leverage without the overhead of other similar systems.

The adoption of blockchain technology by more gaming developers and applications will better the user experience. Currently, much of the market is saturated with mediocre games that just sell their solo in-game items under a classic video game model.

ORE System strives to alter this idea and open the space to the community at large. We will enhance the overall experience of blockchain directly and normalize its interaction with gamers.

E-Crypto News:

Please, can you tell us more about ORE Systems?

ORE System is an integration engine that provides simplified blockchain technology to the community at large.

We are focused on supporting the gaming community by building the premium ecosystem that gamers, content creators, and developers alike can leverage.

This brings the ideas and resources of the community to the developers, an exposure and royalty system that works for content creators without the limitations of publishers, and in-game ownership by the gamer all into a single place.

E-Crypto News:

What products and services do you offer gamers and developers?

Gamers can leverage The ORE Forge to buy, sell, or trade their favorite ORE supported in-game items.

This gives gamers the ability to actually own their gear, whether it be skins or characters.

Now the Gamer has the power to determine whether an item is really worth it.

At the same time, the Gamer can take these items, whether it be gear, skins, or characters, between the games that share them. Not only does this expand the usage and application of NFTs, but it also gives the Gamer the power.

Developers, on the other hand, will find that the ORE SDK, the ORE Forge, and the ORE Stealth are complete eco-system that supports their dreams from development through distribution.

ORE System understands the core issues with developing blockchain games and the difficulty developers face getting them in front of users. By creating a location for both Gamers and Developers to interact with feedback is direct and fosters the growth of a supportive community.

Developers can also define the in-game economy system that works best for their game.

Whether that is pay-to-play, play-to-earn, play-to-burn, or anything in between, the ORE SDK supports the in-game economy that works best for the game.

Add NFT royalties to the list of Developer benefits, it is undisputed that the ORE System provides a full suite of support options to help developers turn dreams into reality.

E-Crypto News:

Please, can you tell us more about the ORE token?

ORE Token is a smart contract-based utility crypto-token used for the ORE System in-game economy.

That means that it is a cross-platform gaming token that powers the transaction system of items within the complete ORE System eco-system.

ORE Token can be used within any game that supports the ORE SDK and is freely traded by the community.

This single token simplifies the integration of crypto-tokens into games and again supports the community in the functions of its tokenomics.

E-Crypto News:

What is the Osiris protocol? How does it work?

OsirisPROTOCOL is an online multiplayer first-person shooter in the way Call of Duty or Battlefield is played. OsirisPROTOCOL serves as proof-of-concept for the scale and diversity of platforms supported by The ORE System and the ORE SDK.

Players will be able to get their NFT items on the ORE Forge from Weapons to Characters and use them in the game.

Along with their use, Gamers will be able to trade, auction, or sell their in-game items freely on the ORE Forge as well.

This will be the first version of the game and it is being built to provide AAA graphics and gameplay while showcasing what ORE System is truly capable of.

E-Crypto News:

What are next-gen NFTs? How will they change the world?

ORE System likes to refer to their next-gen NFTs as utility NFTs.

This is different from classic NFTs that are only as good as the art on your walls. These are great for collecting and for looking at, but what do they really offer.

ORE System’s next-gen NFTs provide a use case; they represent an in-game item that can be used in more than one game.

Initially, ORE System’s NFTs will be released for use in the osirisPROTOCOL PoC, but now with our software technology, these next-gen NFTs can be used by any developer in the eco-system.

This is game-changing.

E-Crypto News:

How can developers work with the Ore Software Development Kit (SDK)?

The ORE SDK is completely free and available to any interested developer.

Simply browse to sdk.ore-system.com and learn more.

ORE System also offers a number of support and development packages for developers as well.

This provides game developers a helping hand in not only the creation of their game but also in coding, NFT creation, marketing, distribution, and more.

E-Crypto News:

How does the individualization of digital pérsonas improve the authenticity of NFTs?

When the digital persona becomes personal the distinction between yourself and others is natural.

NFTs simply provide a platform for creating the individuality of these digital personas but provide a capitalistic opportunity for brands to expand their market and reach new users never before thought possible.

With personalization, whether it is in the real world or in the digital world, people will pay for what they want.

Right now, this is an untapped market.

E-Crypto News:

What protections do you have within the ORE ecosystem to protect gamers from intellectual property theft?

We integrate a layered defense model.

From global support by AWS to integration and partnerships with anti-cheat systems for both our projects and our supported projects, security is at the foundation of the project.

I have spent 22 years in cyber security and have expertise in understanding what it means to build a security program.

If we need to bolster our projects we bring in partners and professionals to manage, integrate, or develop the systems that provide security to our users and clients.

Security is an everchanging battlefield and there is no such thing as winning, it is just increasing your arsenal and continuing to fight better and smarter.

IP theft is a huge concern. NFTs allow users to create nearly any item they want.

ORE System takes the step of leveraging an active monitoring program for the potential IP issues and presents the creator of the NFT with an acknowledgment validation that they have the rights to create the item.

There is no foolproof way to restrict NFTs from being created that may infringe on another entity’s IP, but through active management and monitoring of what we can control we are able to provide protection for our users and clients.

E-Crypto News:

What is the blockchain technology behind the ORE ecosystem?

ORE System is currently developed and deployed on the Binance Smart Chain.

This is directly related to the speed, reliability, and cost experienced by all users of the system.

The Binance Smart Chain is only the first stage.

ORE System expects to have cross-chain support in 2022.

E-Crypto News:

What are the tokenomics behind the ORE token?

ORE Token is made to support the community.

The ORE Token’s tokenomics are set at 8%, with 3% redistribution to every ORE Token holder, 3% to support the ORE Supported Projects, and 2% to be burnt and destroyed forever.

This breakdown allows for the token to be sustainable for a long period of time.

ORE System does NOT leverage conversion of the ORE Token to fiat or other currencies and utilizes the 3% to support projects, game developers, and content creators looking to gain a foothold in the new platform.

The 3% that goes for redistribution gives back to those supporting the ecosystem of the ORE System.

Then finally, the 2% burn makes each token more limited every time there is a transaction on the smart contract.

Video games average thousands and millions of transactions per day.

ORE Token is made to support the accelerated usage of this to increase the activity of each tokenomic mechanism.

E-Crypto News:

How is the ORE token used in governance within the ORE community?

The ORE Token is only an in-game utility token.

But in the ORE Forge it will provide Gamers the opportunity to truly determine which games are worth their time versus which ones are not.

As the ORE Token users begin to acquire games and NFTs it will become naturally apparent which items or games the community enjoys and values.

E-Crypto News:

What are the roles played by different parties within the ORE ecosystem?

I am the founder of ORE System.

With my history in the cybersecurity and gaming space, I share technical responsibilities with Jonah Havel.

Jonah is an experienced and technically trained Army Veteran that has been part of the core ORE System team from its inception.

Jonah provides technical leadership for all of the backend systems that make up the ORE System.

Lucas Hamrick is the ORE System’s CEO and provides leadership of the organization after serving over 28 years in Army leadership roles.

Lucas has a background in both military and business leadership and has brought his proven track record of success to the ORE System.

Shaw Piatz also an Army Veteran, rounds out the management team.

Shawn has served for over 29 years as an Army special forces leader. Lucas and Shawn provide the business and leadership acumen that sets ORE System apart from its competitors.

E-Crypto News:

Where do you see ORE-Systems in the next decade?

ORE System is here for the long term. As the ORE System grows, technology will continue to develop and advance to the point where there is a more cohesive integration of blockchain technology into everyone’s life.

NFTs will become a normal thing.

ORE System looks to bring new NFT applications to Gamers, Content Creators, and Developers and continually expand our horizons and challenge ourselves each and every day.

We have seen a huge number of firsts in our short time already: the first gaming-focused NFT project not focused solely on their own game, the first ID@Xbox blockchain game, and the first utility application of NFTs, among others.

ORE System will be the next generation of great gaming communities.

We have a lot of plans in store for the next 2 years, and over the next 10 years, we will truly revolutionize the world with video games.
