Vorto Gaming Secures Deal With Sandbox Crafting Game Rawbots

Rawbots adopts blockchain technology and will utilise Vorto Network services to deliver its in-game NFT economy

  • Game experience to be enhanced through play-to-earn models, giving Rawbots players the opportunity to monetize through both robotic creations and time spent playing

  • Rawbots becomes third studio to ink deal with Vorto Gaming, as they target mass market expansion and adoption of blockchain across the gaming industry

Wednesday 27 October 2021 [Live from NEARCON, Lisbon, Portugal]: Continuing their ascendancy, blockchain gaming enabler Vorto Gaming has announced its latest partnership, this time with the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), Rawbots.

The studio becomes the third in recent months to onboard to Vorto Gaming’s blockchain platform, Vorto Network, and will see the pair work together to implement blockchain technology and NFTs in the relaunching of the online game.

Rawbots tasks players to utilise collectable mechanical components in order to build their own programmable machines, explore customisable worlds and interact with players in a larger universe. The sophisticated crafting system is designed to be simple to use, but a powerful tool for those who take the time to learn how to use it effectively.

Empowering the creator economy, Rawbots allows players to invite friends to their universe or host public battles with other player’s machines. Each universe has its own set of rules, as well as different game modes that are fully controlled by the player – ensuring no game is ever the same.

“Think ready player one, but with robots. Where players both earn and learn with NFTs, while being exposed to math, science and even physics, by building and designing their own battle robots.  The new and improved version of Rawbots will still have programming at its core, smartly exposed for the advanced user and will add much more depth to the current play-to-earn model,” said Rawbots creator, Neil Haran

A revamped version of Rawbots – set for release next year – will utilise Unreal Engine 5 for rendering, with photo realistic graphics that create a unique experience for each player. Users will also own their bespoke creations in a NFT format, that includes robotic parts, programming instructions and the worlds in which their machines operate; allowing for the integration of tokenized items and the potential for players to monetise and grow their assets.

Commenting from the floor of NEARCON in Portugal, Vorto Gaming CEO, Kris Vaivods said“We are delighted to continue our expansion and offer yet another studio the opportunity to implement new technologies across their gameplay; at a time when other providers are closing doors to the world of NFTs. We have complete confidence in blockchain and how it can be used to improve the experience for players across the globe, making gaming a more inclusive and lucrative environment for all players. I have no doubt that Rawbots will epitomise that in its coming release.”

Players looking to purchase, manage or trade their Rawbots NFTs must sign up to the Vorto Network for free by visiting www.vortonetwork.com.
