Take a Walk on The Wild Side of Kyoto With ACE Hotel
Kyoto, one of my favorite cities in the world, where I had some of the most enchanting travel experiences – guided by local friends or my intuition. This is a city in Japan that surprises the visitor with a whimsical combination of tradition and coolness – encounters with geishas, walks by the river, amazing gardens, a creative nightlife and a gastronomic scene that is very special. ACE Hotel Kyoto, the new kid on block and after its opening had to be postponed, now due the 11th of June, is finally here!
Yet, the ACE crew has been busy showing us all – via instagram – the hidden and cool places of the town by cycling around the city delivering roses to their favorite spots, bars, restaurants and local insiders. And we have been following them closely for the local insights. So here are 10 instagram profiles not be missed if you are planing a tri to Kyoto, showcasing the rich culture of the region in and around the city. It was super fun to “travel” with the crew of the ACE Hotel during their rose delivery expeditions.
ACE Hotel Kyoto
Ace Hotel Kyoto is housed in a part new build, part historic structure, with available rooms in each. Designed in partnership with legendary architect Kengo Kuma and longtime friends Commune Design, each room reflects Kyoto’s abundance of craft, attention to detail and love for beautiful, functional design.
Some rooms come with garden views, window seats, tatami mattresses and double vanities. Most rooms have turntables and all rooms have a Tivoli radio, Japanese soaking tub and original art from local Japanese artists.
