Invitation Requested: Join Us for ETHDenver & ColoradoJam 2021 in Virtual Reality

Invitation Requested: Join Us for ETHDenver & ColoradoJam 2021 in Virtual Reality February 5-12 (No Headset Required)

Denver, CO — After putting blockchain use cases in the palm of attendees’ hands from start to finish in 2019 and implementing an interactive DAO ecosystem in 2020, ETHDenver, the world’s largest free web3 #BUIDLathon, or hackathon, has gone fully virtual for 2021– with a twist. The event is offering $250k in prizes expecting between 3k-5k attendees, all of whom will be able to experience the event in virtual reality (no headset required) thanks to a partnership with Gamerjibe.

ETHDenver is also hosting a ColoradoJam Summit as part of this year’s event, with official collaboration involving the Colorado Governor’s Office, Governor’s Office of Information Technology, and several official state agencies, as part of its innovation competition. Between both events, over $250k in bounties, prizes and investments is being offered to participants. ETHDenver will also have many fan favorites as part of their 2021 virtual event, including NFT and experiential art exhibitions, a VR scavenger hunt, nightly melees in the virtual ETHDenver world and Minecraft castle, livestream gaming sessions with Colorado officials and Vitalik Buterin, and more.

Who: Some of the individuals already confirmed as ETHDenver speakers include Vitalik Buterin, Chief Scientist of the Ethereum Foundation, Colorado Governor Jared Polis, Colorado Securities Commissioner Tung Chan (formerly of the Ethereum Foundation), Special Advisor to the Governor for Digital Transformation Lu Cordova, and Joseph Lubin of ConsenSys. See the full list of announced speakers and sponsors on ETHDenver’s website.

What: This year’s free virtual event will also feature educational opportunities, networking events, panels and VR fireside chats, blockchain-infused art installations, futurism discussions, and more. This year’s themes include: DeFi & Money Legos, NFTs & the Creator Economy, ColoradoJam & the Next Frontier of Statehood, Protocols & Interoperability, Open Source & Public Goods, The Ownership Economy & Digital Orgs, Usability Design & Adoption and Legal, Privacy & Identity. Industry experts will also weigh in on topics like decentralization, scaling, governance, diversity, and arts and culture in blockchain.
