Mayk is a Fun space to make songs with your phone functioning like a Virtual music studio.

Breaking into music industry has been hard if not impossible, web3 music space creates an Alternative path for artists to make it.
That’s why we are excited to make the web3music space more accessible and help more music creators. We are excited to start a new, big party!
mayk.it is now the spot to not only make but also mint your own music NFTs straight from your phone.
It’s an easy flow that focuses on helping creators own their creative works – which can later be sold on OpenSea, allowing the beat producer and original artist to always receive a cut of
royalties should their songs be resold on the secondary markets.
With the deployment of the MaykNFT ERC721 contract, we built the clearest method for creators to start minting + selling their songs on Web3

What are the technologies that run the mayk.it ecosystem?
Mayk.it is currently available as iOS app that helps to create songs with our audio engine technology, unique voice effects, recording & mixing audio technology
We use audio production software used by plugin developers worldwide, along with internal tools that we develop to help promote and distribute music through platforms across the internet`
We are rolling out to more creators the first version of a Polygon (MATIC) contract to move songs from the native mayk.it app into your metamask wallet to own it , and then list it on Opensea as a musicNFT.

How did your days at TikTok help shape your technology marketing experience?
During my time at YouTube I realized how unfair the music labels are compensated in comparison to the creator economy.
During my time at musical.ly I learned how underserved music artists are worldwide who try to make it by following their passion and love for music
During my team at TikTok, I realized that what we call songs in the 2020s is changing, the song format is shorter, more niche and the sound can be made more accessible
During my team at Cameo, I learned how amazing it is to help creators to monetize their super fans
Web 3 and crypto is the internet native currency that helps creators / artists to interact and transact with their fans directly and cut out middlemen.

What’s the backstory behind the name mayk.it ?
As hobby singers, musicians and music lovers we, like so many others, were looking for ways to express ourselves and our feelings during the pandemic.
And for those of us who don’t play instruments and don’t really like the way we sound when we sing, we thought “there has to be a simpler way beyond using a karaoke mic from amazon
or singing into voice notes” to have fun singing and sound better too!
We thought simpler music making tools on the platform we all use every day – our phones – could help, and they did!
We found that people not only loved how accessible the mayk.it app is but also they’ve found community by connecting with other people just like them.

It’s still early days but we are seeing that being jpg NFTs, new media formats are moving into the NFT space. musicNFTs are a new format and we are excited to be part of the web3 music space & pioneers to explore what the format and its standard will look and sound like

The next big change to the music industry is happening, just like bedroom producers and streaming did before that. We see web3 and virtual spaces as the next big thing for people interested in music.
With the right, simple, fun tools provided, we can shorten the timeline from beginning to create your 1st song, to creating your 1st album in mayk, to taking your songs off platform and into the world.
Whether it be on tiktok and spotify, in games or minting your song on an NFT marketplace we want to make the entirety of the song making process accessible to every creative person no matter their background, or wherever they are.

We are excited to work with artists and people in the music space to enable collaborative, asynchronous music making with our remix feature that can bring beat producers together with vocalists, as well as artists to collab/duet on songs without needing to be in the same physical studio space.

We are excited for T-Pain to be one of our early believers and producers on the platform to add beats.
